I liked the first BAC kit with the grandad collar, I think it was manufactured by Bukta.
The adidas kit from the late 80s before sponsorship was the best though.

Shank - I read that as being taken over by Cilit Bang first off.

I had the BAC Argentina shirt but when they stopped their sponsorship I very carefully peeled it off in a fit of teenage pique. Unfortunately the edge of the transfer remained on the fabric so to this day I have an away shirt with a ghost logo, like a side of a building with a just about legible bread advert from 1937.

A shirt with no sponsor on the front look good.

Bac for me I loved that Argentina kit. I could never figure out what avco actually did when I was a kid.

Dagenham motors and Harry redknapp we were a walking cliche

Had a loan from The Avco Trust back in the 80s nothing short of an extortionate rate of interest.
I believe they were taken over by Citi bank.

Dagenham Motors is the ultimate West Ham sponsor to me.

Definitely a plain AVCO on that famous 85/86 shirt.

Reading Mark Ward's autobiography again and had to laugh that the road the house was that he rented out prior to his arrest was called McVinnie Road. Rather ironic considering he played with a McAvennie!!

My mate rang the Avco Trust office in Sutton in 1990 and interrogated them as to why they stopped sponsoring West Ham. It seemed funny at the time.

Bac had a horrific intrusive logo..

Dr martens are one of the few companies that sponsored us that haven't gone bust

Avco.

Golden age (because I was young and everything was exciting and great, every away was a dangerous adventure).
